Lexington Community Education provides an optional program of convenient and reasonably priced individual music lessons with highly qualified professional musician-teachers. Lessons are held at Lexington High School after 3:30pm, Monday through Friday and may be scheduled into the evening. Students may choose the length of weekly lessons that best suits their budget, time commitments and musical needs. We welcome beginners as well as advanced students, of all ages, from every town.
The following instruments are available for individual study: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone Horn (Euphonium), Tuba, Percussion (Drums), Guitar (Electric and Acoustic), Violin, Viola, Double Bass, and Bassoon.
There is an annual registration fee of $30 for the first child, and $20 for each additional family member. This fee is paid in September for the ten-month school year.

Parents may register students using the registration form (PDF)
found on the LCE website. Returning Students should contact their teacher directly to set up a time to start lessons. If you are a NEW student this form will help us begin the process of matching you or your child with a teacher, location and schedule. Upon receipt, teachers will contact parents to arrange a lesson time. Please include your payment in full with your application. Payment will not be processed until LCE is notified that a lesson schedule has been arranged between the student and the teacher.
Lexington Community Education will hold your check or credit card until the music instrument teacher confirms that a day and time of instruction has been agreed upon between teacher and student. Once this is confirmed, the check will be deposited OR the credit card charged.
